The next BH-SLRP Application Cycle is currently scheduled to open October 15, 2026, at 8:30 AM EST and close on April 15, 2027, at 11:59 PM EST.
The 2021 General Assembly established a $1.6 million Virginia Behavioral Health Student Loan Repayment Program (BH-SLRP) to help recruit and retain behavioral health (BH) professionals to practice in underserved areas of the Commonwealth and/or provide counseling and treatment to underserved populations. This program will repay a portion of an eligible BH professional's student loan debt. In return, recipients commit to practicing in Virginia for a minimum of two years at an eligible site.
MGA HIGHLIGHT NG PROGRAM:
- Eligible BH-SLRP practice sites include behavioral health authorities or community services boards, federally qualified health centers, free clinics/hybrid clinics, rural health clinics, state mental health or correctional facilities, and nonprofit organizations serving the uninsured or medically underserved populations and/or communities, and stand-alone inpatient psychiatric facilities serving uninsured or medically underserved populations and/or communities.
- Bibigyan ng priyoridad ang mga kwalipikadong BH na propesyonal na may kulay, ang mga matatas na nagsasalita ng higit sa isang wika, at/o ang mga nagsasanay sa isa sa maraming lugar ng kakulangan sa propesyonal sa kalusugan ng isip sa Virginia.
- Total award amount will not exceed 25% of student loan debt (annual limits include: $50,000 for Tier 1 Providers, $20,000 for Tier 2 Providers, and $10,000 for Tier 3 Providers. Please see list below or refer to guidelines for professions within each tier).

- Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner;
- Mga Katulong ng Psychiatric Physician;
- Psychiatric Pharmacists;
- Mga Rehistradong Nars sa Psychiatric.
Mga Kwalipikadong Tier Two Provider
- Mga Lisensyadong Clinical Psychologist;
- Mga Lisensyadong Propesyonal na Tagapayo (kabilang ang Lisensyadong Kasal at Family Therapist);
- Mga Lisensyadong Clinical Social Workers.
Mga Kwalipikadong Tier Three Provider (Idinagdag sa FY25)
- Licensed Practical Nurse;
- Rehistradong Nars;
- Certified Substance Abuse Counselor;
- Licensed Substance Abuse Treatment Practitioner;
- Propesyonal na Tagapayo;
- Sikologo ng Paaralan;
- Propesyonal sa Kalusugan ng Pag-iisip;
- Social Worker;
- Nakarehistrong Peer Recovery Specialist;
- Kwalipikadong Mental Health Professional;
- Behavioral Health Technician;
- Katulong na Technician sa Kalusugan ng Pag-uugali;
