If you notice any broken links or other problems, please report them to the <a href=\"mailto:shellfish_rainfall@vdh.virginia.gov\"><u>webmaster<\/u><\/a>.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.issc.org\/\"><strong><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Interstate Shellfish Sanitation Conference:<\/span><\/strong><\/a> The Interstate Shellfish Sanitation Conference (ISSC) was formed in 1982 to foster and promote shellfish sanitation through the cooperation of state and federal control agencies, the shellfish industry, and the academic community.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.issc.org\/consumer-information\/risks-eating-raw-oysters-or-clams\"><strong><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">ISSC: Risks of Eating Raw Oysters and Clams:<\/span><\/strong><\/a>\u00a0Consumer information provided by the Interstate Shellfish Sanitation Conference (ISSC) regarding the consumption of raw oysters and clams.<\/li>\n<li><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.vdh.virginia.gov\/surveillance-and-investigation\/virginia-communicable-disease-data\/\"><strong>Foodborne Disease Outbreak Reports:<\/strong><\/a><\/span> Per state law, all outbreaks, including those that are foodborne, are reportable in Virginia. The VDH <em>Office of Epidemiology&#8217;s Division of Surveillance and Investigation\u00a0<\/em>monitors all outbreaks in the Commonwealth.\u00a0 Annual reports are derived from their surveillance efforts.\u00a0 It is important to know that these reports house not only foodborne outbreaks but all reportable illnesses.
