{"id":253,"date":"2016-05-13T14:35:48","date_gmt":"2016-05-13T14:35:48","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.vdh.virginia.gov\/emergency-medical-services\/?page_id=253"},"modified":"2024-07-22T13:45:32","modified_gmt":"2024-07-22T17:45:32","slug":"ems-grant-information-funding-tool-e-gift","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.vdh.virginia.gov\/emergency-medical-services\/ems-grant-information-funding-tool-e-gift\/","title":{"rendered":"EMS-Grant Information Funding Tool (E-Gift)"},"content":{"rendered":"<p align=\"justify\"><strong><u><a href=\"https:\/\/vdhems.vdh.virginia.gov\/emsapps\/egiftapp.html\">EMS \u2013 Grant Information Funding Tool (E-Gift)<\/a><\/u><\/strong><br \/>\nWelcome to the E-Gift, the new Rescue Squad Assistance Fund (RSAF) online grant application system.\u00a0 The E-Gift has replaced the Consolidated Grant Application System (CGAP), the software program used in the past.\u00a0 E-Gift automates the grant process by using a web-based system.\u00a0 We know you will find this user-friendly tool useful in your grant application writing and submission process.<\/p>\n<p align=\"justify\"><strong><u>Eligible Agencies<\/u><\/strong><br \/>\nThe Office of EMS recognizes two types of agencies or organizations that are eligible to apply for a RSAF Grant, Licensed EMS Agencies and Non-Licensed EMS Agencies.<\/p>\n<div align=\"justify\">\n<ul>\n<li>A <strong>Licensed EMS Agency<\/strong> is an agency that is authorized by the Office of EMS to provide emergency medical services in the state as an EMS agency. <strong><em>Contact your Agency&#8217;s Super User to have your E-Gift account created.<\/em><\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>A <strong>Non-Licensed EMS Agency<\/strong> is an agency that is not authorized by the Office of EMS to provide Emergency medical services in the state, for example EMS Regional Council, Community College, Sheriff&#8217;s Office, 911 Centers, and Volunteer Fire Department. <strong><em>Click on the blue &#8220;Click here to Sign up&#8221; button on the e-gift log in screen to get started.<\/em><\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<p align=\"justify\"><strong><u>E-Gift Users<\/u><\/strong><br \/>\nThe E-Gift system requires three types of users: an Authorized Agent, a Financial Officer and an Agency Operational Medical Director.<\/p>\n<div align=\"justify\">\n<ul>\n<li>The <strong>Authorized Agent<\/strong>, or grant submitter, is the person responsible for the completion of the grant application on the agency\u2019s behalf.\u00a0 The authorized agent has the ability to create and make any necessary modifications to the grant.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>The <strong>Financial Officer<\/strong> is the person responsible for the receipt, care, and disbursement of money of an agency or organization.\u00a0 The Financial Officer will have the capability to review and e-sign the grant; they do not have edit capabilities.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>The <strong>Agency Operational Medical Director (OMD)<\/strong> is an EMS physician, currently licensed to practice medicine or osteopathic medicine in the Commonwealth, who is formally recognized and responsible for providing medical direction, oversight and quality improvement to an EMS agency and personnel. The OMD will have the capability to review and e-sign the grant.
