encompasses the Accomack County and Northampton County Health Departments.\u00a0\u00a0 Together, these departments provide a vast array of public health services for Accomack and Northampton Counties.\u00a0 These two rural counties comprise the Eastern Shore of Virginia, the 70-mile long Virginia portion of the Delmarva Peninsula, which is bounded by the Atlantic Ocean and the Chesapeake Bay.\u00a0 The area\u2019s population is approximately 45,000 residents; an influx of summer tourists and migrant farm workers adds to the mix of clientele served by the district.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-192 alignleft\" \/><\/p>\n<h4><strong>Employees<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p>The District employs a staff of approximately 60 dedicated health care professionals and support personnel to carry out its duties and
