Information for Living with HIV<\/h2>\n

Whether you are looking for information and resources for yourself, or for someone that you love - you have come to the right place!\u00a0 People diagnosed with HIV can live a long and healthy life with proper care and treatment.\u00a0 It is important to work with a doctor to stay healthy, for yourself and others.\u00a0 If you need help finding a doctor, health insurance, or other resources, assistance is available.<\/p>\n

It is important for your health that you work with a doctor to treat your HIV as soon as possible.\u00a0 Your doctor will probably put you on medicines used to treat HIV called antiretrovirals, or ARVs.\u00a0 These medicines keep you healthy by working to lower the amount of HIV in your body.\u00a0 Often times the amount of HIV in your body can be lowered to the point that it cannot be measured by standard lab tests.\u00a0 This is called undetectable, or being virally suppressed.\u00a0 \u00a0In addition to keeping you healthy, being virally suppressed prevents the spread of HIV to other people. This is called U=U or Undetectable=Untransmittable.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>
